William James "Bill" (Jr) Wilton

     A memorial service for William James "Bill" Wilton Jr., 81, of Alto will be held Saturday, December 13, 2024 at 1 PM in the Cold Springs Methodist Church near Alto.. Mr. Wilton passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025 at his home near Alto. Bill was born November 2, 1944 in Campell’s Creek, West Virginia to William James Wilton Sr. and Mamie Henderson Wilton. Bill had lived in Alto for 13 years and was Baptist. William was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served in the Vietnam war. He had retired from Lockheed-Martin after working there for many years as a supervisor. Bill loved playing tennis and riding his four-wheeler. He was preceded in death by son James Randolph “Randy” Wilton and a sister Martha. He is survived by wife Kathy Coppenger-Wilton of Alto, sons James Russell “Rusty” Wilton of Alto and Dean Crosby II and wife Isabella of Ferris, Texas, daughter Jennifer Compton Cabello and husband Jerry of Alto, sister Mary Chappell of South Carolina, sister Barbara Natcher and brother John Wilton, grandchildren Brittany Duncanson and husband Jon, Westen Cabello and Mia Crosby as well as 9 great grandchildren.
