Willean Ervin was born October 26, 1939 to R. E. Simon and Alma McClelland Simon in Cushing, Texas. Willean was a Baptist and attended Pinegrove Baptist Church in Cushing. She was a lifelong resident of Cushing and loved her people and her community. She did whatever she could do for anybody. It was her "missionary work" to care for the sick. In fact, until her passing, she cared for her 83-year old sister who also lives in Cushing. Willean will be missed for her good cooking. Among her family she is famous for her chocolate pies and Thanksgiving dressing. Willean loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. She was a favorite among her many nieces and nephews. Her special niece Donna Walker was always helping by taking care of Willean in many ways. Willean loved watching her basketball games especially Lebron James and Stephen Curry. She would talk to the television throughout the games and family knew to honor that time. She was loved my many and her loss will never be replaced. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Whythyntys Simon and Donald Simon, and sister Edith Christopher. She is survived by her son Eardis (and wife Kim) Ervin of Austin, daughters Andrea Green Sanders of DeSoto, and Benisha (and husband Tommy) Blake of Palestine; sisters Laverne Stansell of Dallas, Peggy Roberts of Cushing and Connie Garrett also of Cushing; she also leaves to mourn her loss grandchildren Andre Green, Cynthrick Ervin, Eninja (and husband Arthur) Jackson, Kamella Ervin, and Tosha Ervin, and great grandchild Andreas Green.
