Funeral services for Trent Logan Self, 29, of Tyler and formerly of Nacogdoches will be Tuesday, May 2, at 3 PM in the Dickie Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing, Texas with Tim Self, Michael Self and Bro. Gary Albritton officiating. Burial will follow in the Redland Cemetery near Cushing. Trent passed away Thursday, April 27th, 2023 in Tyler. He was born June 6, 1993 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Trent leaves behind his wife Caryn Joyce “CJ” Self and two children, Harper JoAnn or Harp Dog as he called her and Tate Logan also known as Tater Tot. Trent was a loving husband and father and Harper and Tate were the apples of his eyes. Trent loved watching Harper play basketball, softball and being a cheerleader. He could not wait for Tate to start sports, especially football. Trent loved sports and playing video games. He was a faithful member of the Shiloh Road Church of Christ in Tyler and was a manager at Wal Mart, where he had worked for over 10 years. He was a graduate of Hemphill High School in 2011. Trent is also survived by his parents Tim and Tracy Self and Angie and Kenny Wilson, sister Amanda Self, grandmother Sherry Hutto, step sisters Whitney Trotter (Dakota), Kimberly Parrie (Dannon) and Lindsey Remedies (Shawn), father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Joyce Tyer, sisters-in-law Carrie O’Hanlon (Clay) and Melissa Williamson (Josh), brothers-in-law Adam Tyer (Kari) and James West (Amanda), nieces Addie, Adelynn, Demi, Tanlei, Lexi, Cadence, Kylei, Allie, Cora, Lizzy and Penny and nephews Brentley, Dawson, Braylon, Landon, Rayden, Jhonen, Ryan, Dylan, George and Robbie. Trent was preceded in deah by his grandparents Tommy and Irene Self and Robert and Carolyn Turner. Pallbearers are Adam Tyer, James West, Josh Williamson, Clay O’Hanlon, Dakota Trotter and David Vinther. Honorary Pallbearers are Colton Reeves, Matthew Self, Jonathan Patin, Jason Patin and Trent Arrington.
