Celebration of Life for Timmy Lee Lofton
Funeral services for Tim Lee Lofton, 63, of Alto will be Friday September 12th, 2025 at 11am at the Simpson Chapel Baptist Church in Kennard. There is no formal visitation scheduled. Interment will take place following the funeral service at New Hope Cemetery in Alto.
Timmy Lee Lofton was born on February 27, 1962, to the late Louie Lofton and Ella Hackney in Alto, Texas. He attended school in Alto, Texas, and proudly graduated with the Class of 1981. Timmy worked for Stephen F. Austin University for 17 years and recently retired in December 2024. He was well-known by many as their favorite lawn man, admired for his dedication, reliability, and the pride he took in his work.
On August 31, 2001, Timmy married Brenda Wade.
Timmy is preceded in death by his parents, Louie Lofton and Ella Hackney-Lofton; two sisters, Shirley Reggie and Wanda Lofton; and one brother, Donnie Hackney.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his wife, Brenda Lofton; his daughter, Timara Lofton; his sons, Joshua Morrison and Rodrick Skinner; and three stepdaughters, Sharia (Herb), Ashlynn, and Rosalind. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Mitchell, Kay Lofton, and Bennie Mitchell(Roy); his brothers, Cecil Lofton and Steve Lofton (Tarita); along with 17 grandchildren who will forever remember being spoiled with Hershey’s and his endless love. In addition, Timmy is remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved him dearly.
Timmy will be remembered for his kind heart, warm spirit, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.
