Sharon Evon Ward

Funeral services for  Sharon Evon Ward, 66, of Rusk will be Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Rusk with  Pastor Jerry Leviston officiating and Pastor Brenda Mallard Davis as the eulogist. Sharon was born May 21,1956 in Rusk, Texas. She had lived in Rusk most of her life and also lived in Ft. Worth for several years before returning to Rusk in 2015. Sharon served her country in the U.S. Army and was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. She had worked for the Harris Hospital in Ft. Worth and loved taking pictures of nature, especially sunsets. Sharon was preceded in death by sisters Gwendolyn, Syretta and Senetta Mallard and her parents Lola Ward Mallard and Adam Mallard Sr. Sharon is survived by sisters Karen Mallard Bolton and Brenda Mallard Davis, brother Adam Mallard Jr., nieces Cangelya, Alisha and Ashley nephew Jeremy Bolton, great nieces and nephews Tootie, Trey, Jacey, Niya, Bre, Cordell and Jhase, uncles Hubert L. Ward and Frazier Foreman and Aunts Mary Foreman, Charlsie Sessions and Lela Leviston. There will be a visitation Friday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home in Alto.
