Robert Milton Basara

Robert “Bob” Basara, 72 of Cushing, TX, passed away at the Hospice of East Texas Homeplace in Tyler, TX on Sunday, June 25, 2023. 

Bob was born in Baltimore City, MD to Milton and Sophia Basara (Lijeski) on May 5, 1951.  After attending school in Dundalk, MD, Bob traveled to Austin, TX where he met and married Joanna “Jody” Likens in 1977.

Bob was a veteran of the Vietnam war and served in the Airforce.

Bob is preceded in death by his sister, Stephanie Cooper of Dundalk, MD.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jody Basara (Likens); His sons, Brandon Basara and Kyle Basara; A Granddaughter, Madison Basara; and one brother, Mike Basara.

Bob is under the care of Dickie Allen Funeral Home, Cushing, TX.  A Memorial Service for Bob will be held at a later date.
