Owen Roark born October 16, 1947 to Troyce and Nella Jean Roark of Nacogdoches Texas. Where he grew up and lived except when he served in the Air Force during the Vietnam war. His work career started at Nibco where his father worked but eventually decided working inside a building was not for him. He became a broiler raiser for over 20 years. At the age of 61 he decided to be a trucker but that was short lived as he disliked being away from home. He began another career as a pool and spa equipment technician. Owen was married to his wife Pat for 19 years and he retired soon after she did. In their retirement they have enjoyed horseback riding as their main source of entertainment. Owen was an avid hunter in his younger years but when he married a girl with four horses and a donkey the hunting fell by the wayside. Owen got his beloved Missouri Foxtrotter, Red River seven years ago and had become a fairly good trail blazer. He loved going to the Chireno Trail riding club and fellowshipping with the good people there while riding for hours. Above all Owen loved the Lord & his church, Kings Highway Country church. Getting in on the ground floor Owen was able to put his carpentry talents to good use. He and his good friend, Jeff Wilburn put up the walls, and did the detailed finishing work in the bathrooms of the church. The church family meant the world to Owen. He loved to sit and visit with Pastor Bill Shah.
