Ophelia Mae (Rawlinson) Walker

Funeral services for Ophelia Mae Walker, 99, of Cushing, Texas will be Monday February 17th at 11am at the Dickie Allen funeral home chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery.

Ophelia Mae Rawlinson Walker died Friday February 14th 2020 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born January 2nd, 1921 in Cushing, Texas to Aven and Susie Viola Looney Rawlinson. She grew up in the Oak Flat and Cushing area. She married Leo Walker September 23rd, 1939. She was an expert seamstress and worked at Mizes sewing factory in Nacogdoches for many years. She was also a manager at Rusk sewing factory for many years. She sewed for all her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She belonged to the Sacul Quilting Club and the Sacul United Methodist Church. She loved to travel. She took part in the Sacul Folk Festival and the Sacul Opry.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo Walker, and granddaughter Megan Joe Clemons. She is survived by her son Ollis Leon Walker (Peggy) of Cushing; daughter Delores Clemons (Arthur Joe) of Cushing; grandchildren Cary Walker (Stephanie) of Nacogdoches, Shonda Dwyer (Daaron) of Cushing, Amy Reeves (Chad) of Cushing; great grandchildren Tabatha McCuistion and husband Stormy, Tyler Walker and wife Jessica, Tristan Riddle and wife Alex, Taylor Worsham and husband Kade, Cutter Walker, Walker Reeves, Sydney Dwyer, Tessa Reeves; and great great grandchildren Adley and Grady McCuistion
