Olene (Denton) Yates

A funeral service for Olene Yates, 78, of Nacogdoches, Texas will be Tuesday January 31st, 2023 at 2pm at the Dickie Allen funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be Monday January 30th, 2023 from 6-8pm at the funeral home in Cushing. Mrs. Yates died Thursday January 26th, 2023 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born January 17th, 1945 in Nacogdoches, Texas to George Washington and George Ann Furra Denton. She enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and grandson Rual McBride. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Ann McBride and Bobby McBride, daughters and sons-in-law Tammy McBride, Lori McBride, Terry and Tony Downs, Patsy and Arthur Skeeters, sister Ola Ware; grandchildren Matthew McBride, Michelle McBride, William Beasley, David McBride, Michael Downs, Angel Downs, Bobby Jean McBride, Alvin Aaron, Michael Aaron, Brandy Aaron, Hope McBride, Samantha McBride, Dakota McBride, Cheyenne McBride, Austin McBride, Blaze Downs, River Downs, Joseph Downs, Cole Blanton, Hoyt Christian, and Justin McBride; as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
