Funeral services for Nara Beavers Williams, 82, of Cushing, Texas will be Wednesday August 5th at 2pm at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will follow. Mrs. Williams died Monday August 3rd in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born May 16th, 1938 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Luther Nelson and Sarah Gladys McKnight Beavers. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe H. Williams, parents, and brother Luther Morris Beavers. She is survived by her daughter Diane Dockery, son Jarvis Williams, grandsons Alec Dockery, Adam Dockery, and Lane Williams. She is also survived by sisters Syble Williams and Sylvia Stewart, and brother Albert Beavers and wife Betty, as well as three nieces and six nephews. Finally, she leaves behind her very best childhood friend in life, Carolyn Blankenship, with whom she talked daily.
Nara worked for many years at Bancorp South and later at the Nacogdoches County Appraisal District where she met her new friend Sheila Williams, who so generously loved and assisted her over the past few months for which the family will be eternally grateful. Nara was a member of the Baptist faith and a Christian. She leaves behind a legacy of loving and loyal family and friends.
