Morris Fuller Obituary

Morris Ray Fuller departed from this world for Heaven on January 11, 2021 at the age of 83. Morris Ray was born at home in Martinsville Texas on June 15, 1937 to Morris Shepherd and Jean Carroll Fuller. He attended Nacogdoches High School where he met the love of his life, Jennene Fuller.
He proudly served in the United States Army and had many adventures there but he couldn’t wait to come home to marry Jennene. Soon after marriage, they welcomed their two beloved children, Craig and Darla.
Morris Ray’s family was his top priority, he was a loving husband and father. He and Jennene were married for 42 years until she preceded him in death in 2000. They were doting and dedicated grandparents. Morris Ray was so proud of his children, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. There was hardly ever a ballgame or event missed. One of his favorite pastimes was to sit and watch his great grandchildren play in the yard. He also enjoyed fishing and farming and watching his cattle graze from his porch.

Morris accepted Jesus as his personal savior as a young teenager and it was his relationship with Jesus that carried him through his life and every obstacle life would hold for him. His family cherished the heartfelt and beautiful prayers he would pray at family gatherings.
Morris had many precious friends and was best known for being the mischievous one around Martinsville and kept everyone laughing. He lived life to the fullest and was always ready to give to those in need.
He is survived by his son, James Craig Fuller and wife Lila of Nacogdoches, Tx; daughter, Darla Lynn Compton and husband Dempsey of Nacogdoches, Tx; seven grandchildren, Drew, Courtney, Clancey, Bethany, Denver, Clayton, and Cy; nine great grandchildren; his loyal companion, his dog Hilda; and many dear family members and loyal friends.
Preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jennene Fuller; parents, Morris Shepherd and Jean Fuller; mother and father in law, OJ and Veryl Moore; brother, Terry Fuller; and many loved family members and friends.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Affinity Hospice Care of Center for the special care and love they provided to him and his family.
