Jesse Maxine Gresham Baggett, 91, of Houston, Texas, passed away on September 5, 2022, in The Woodlands, Texas.
Visitation will be from 11-11:30 AM on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, September 9, 2022, at McKnight Cemetery.
Maxine was born in the McKnight Community in Cushing, Texas, to Curtis and Lois Gresham on March 2, 1931. She went from first grade to twelfth at Cushing schools. She graduated from Cushing High School at age seventeen on a Friday and left for Houston on Sunday. She got the first job she interviewed for with Texas Overall Service. Through the years, the company sold several times eventually becoming Aramark, but she always moved with them. Her career spanned 67 years. She retired in 2015 at the age of 84. She was a valued employee and received many awards and was featured in the company’s national magazine several times. She married Joseph Thomas Baggett on June 15, 1950, in Houston, Texas. She attended McKnight Church while she was growing up.
Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and one sister, and many other family members.
Maxine is survived by son, Joseph Edward Baggett and wife, Pam; son, William Curtis Baggett and wife, Renee; grandchildren, Stacey Renee Bower, Nicole Baggett, Christie Prince, Kimberly Smith, Cody Baggett, Kathryn Chappell, and Caysee Baggett; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Gerald and wife Glenda Gresham, sisters Ruth Rowe and Doris Ann and husband Rocky Bartlett; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dicky Gresham, Terry Channel, Brian Belk, Rob Rowe, Jason Gresham, Cody Baggett, and Dedan Egan.
Memorials may be given to McKnight Cemetery Association.
