Graveside funeral services for Mary “Janeace” Morris, 86, of Forest will be Tuesday, May 11, at 1 PM, at the Thompson Cemetery in Forest with Rev. Horace Fletcher officiating. Mrs. Morris passed away Saturday, May 8th, in Wells. She was born October 26, 1934 in Lockhart, Texas to Ed Buckner and Johnnie Tinney Buckner. Mrs. Morris had lived in Forest for about 50 years and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Wells. Mrs. Morris was retired from the Lufkin State School where she had been the supervisor and seamstress in the clothing department. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Wells and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by husband of 68 years Charles Wayne Morris Sr., son Charles Wayne Morris Jr., sister Mildred Dane and brother Nolan Buckner. Mrs. Morris is survived by daughters Rita Greenville and husband James “Jinx” of Forest and Susan Burke of Wells, sisters Frances Kaiser of Conroe and Linda Adams of Houston, grandchildren Shelly Doss, Ben Morris, Kristyl Woodward, Laura Sherman, Colleen Tipps and Kimberly Pilkington and great grandchildren Tim Ryan Pilkington, Savannah Bearden, Lauren Woodward, Cade Hicks, Ryan Morris, Sarah Morris, Taylor Grace Woodward and Mason Woodward. Visitation will be from 12:30 – 1 PM at the graveside on Tuesday. Rain is expected. Rita and Susan have asked that you dress accordingly, jeans are fine.
