Margaret Helen (Ferguson) Alsup, 75, of Houston, Texas, passed away on January 10, 2024.
Visitation will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Dickie Allen Funeral Home in 989 7th Street, Cushing, TX 75760.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Dickie Allen Funeral Home with Brother Ben West officiating. The burial will follow a short commitment ceremony at Friendship cemetery. Arrangements are by Dickie Allen Funeral Home.
Margaret was born in Houston, TX to Marvin Bryce Ferguson and Esther Hope (Somerset) Ferguson on September 24, 1948. She graduated from Aldine High School. She married John William Alsup, and they had two children: William Neal Alsup and Margaret Anne (Alsup) Toth. Margaret attended classes in Houston and at El Camino Community College in Torrance, CA. Although she held several jobs over her lifetime, her career focus was her children. Her hobbies included sewing and needlework, drawing and painting, and writing poetry. Margaret was involved in the Texas Jaycees/Jayceettes (Junior Chamber of Commerce), and she attended both the Episcopal and Methodist churches where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
Margaret is preceded in death by John William Alsup, father Marvin B. Ferguson, mother Esther Hope (Ferguson) Vaught, and stepfather Mack L.Vaught.
Margaret is survived by her son William Neal Alsup (Lori), daughter Margaret Anne Toth(Michael); grandchildren Ariel Krystal Alsup and Arron Neal Alsup; siblings David Ferguson, Thomas Ferguson (Ann), Marlene Coker, MarkFerguson (Debra), Judith Warren, and Patricia Quezeda (Pat), and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was well loved; she will be missed dearly. Finally, she is whole again.
