Luther Fuller, Jr. Obituary

Luther Fuller Jr. was born to the union of Luther Fuller Sr. and Pearlie Viola Watkins Fuller on 25 December 1940.  He was the third oldest of thirteen children born to this union.  He joined Pine Grove Baptist Church at the age of twelve and was baptized the same year.  He attended C.L. Simon School and graduated in 1959.  He joined the United States Air Force in 1960 and served 8 years.   His first assignment was ENT AFB in Colorado Springs.  Upon leaving Colorado Springs in 1963, he went to March AFB in Riverside, California.  While there, he studied French at the University of California, Riverside.  He left Riverside in 1965 and

went to Canada where he was stationed for 15 months.  While in Canada he studied Italian.  Upon leaving Canada, he went to Vanderherg, AFB in Lompoc California.   He remained there until his discharge.  After leaving the Air Fore he returned to Colorado Springs.  While there, although not a singer, he studies Opera for three years.   He returned to Texas in 1972 and went to work as an

accounting clerk for eleven years and took early retirement in 1983.   He returned to Cushing the same year and went to work in Nacogdoches, as a caregiver to a former Mayor and Five of its prominent citizens.  He is preceded in death by a brother Frank Eugene Fuller, a sister Charlise Fuller, a brother Charles Ray Fuller; his father Luther Fuller Sr., his mother Pearlie Viola Watkins Fuller.  He leaves behind three brothers William and Laura Fuller, Raymond and Sherrion Fuller, David Fuller and six sisters Bessie Dixon, Ella Davis, Ruth and Frank Nickerson,

Glenda Fuller, Sandra and Arthur Hodges, Shebra Young.  Luther requested that his service last 45 minutes with no singing or flowers.   Memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, Cushing – 75760.
