Lloyd Milton Day

    Funeral services for Lloyd Milton Day, 94, of Alto will be Saturday, August 17, at 4 PM in the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Alto with Rev. Bobby King officiating. Burial will follow at the Arnold Cemetery near Forest. Mr. Day passed away Wednesday, August 14 at his home in Alto. He was born May 26, 1930 in Alto to Frank Day and Mae Oliver Day. Lloyd had lived in Alto for the last 44 years and was a U.S. Army veteran. He had worked for many years as a butcher for Armour and had worked several years for Lufkin Industries. Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising cattle and gardening. He was preceded in death by wife Emma Day, son Keith Day, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Lloyd is survived by son Dana Day and wife Sherry of Alto, daughter Teresa DeGrand and husband Darryl of Kingwood, sisters Virgie Bennett and Margie Day, grandchildren Darcy, Kayce, Natalie, Tyler and Carson and great grandchildren Brodie, Bryce, Bobby, Bella, Corrine, Charlie, Olivia, T.J. and Griff. Visitation will be Friday, August 16, at the funeral home in Alto from 6-8 PM.
