Graveside services for Lillian Powell Herrington, 92, of Chandler will be at 2 PM, Saturday, May 23, 2020 in the Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto with Rev. Brad Turlington officiating. There will be a visiting and viewing time starting at 1PM at the cemetery. Mrs. Herrington died Tuesday in Tyler. She was born March 24, 1928 in San Augustine County to William Henry Powell and Ellen Caroline Smith Powell. She had lived in Chireno for many years and lived in Chandler for the last 23 years. She was Baptist and a homemaker and a people person that loved quilting and fishing. Lillian was preceded in death by brother Edward Powell and sister Evie Lee Church. She is survived by son Marshall Lucas (Shirley) of Mt. Selman, daughter Ellen Gipson (Dennis) of Chandler, 5 grandchildren Shawn Pierce, Kenny Pierce, Marshall Lucas Jr., Sasha Blue and Haylee Lucas as well as 11 great grandchildren.
