Lawrence (Larry) St. Michel Obituary

Lawrence (Larry) St. Michel passed away September 3 rd in Alto, Texas, at the age of 78. He was born in Marlborough, Massachusetts, the son of Joseph E. St. Michel and Yolanda V. Ferruccio. He was an outstanding high school football player, joining the U.S. Air Force upon high school graduation. Larry was a graduate of St. Vincent’s Hospital Respiratory Therapy Program. He also attended Northeastern University and graduated from Worcester State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Larry married Mary Lepore in 1967 and they had two sons, Jonathan and Nathan. Larry held respiratory therapy positions at University of Massachusetts Hospital in Worcester, Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis, and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, among other various positions throughout his career. In 1990, Larry met and married Christine Zapp and became a stepfather to Elizabeth (Beth) and Thomas (T.J.) a U.S. Marine who passed away in Fallujah, Iraq in 2004. T.J.’s death was one of Larry’s greatest heartaches. Larry later married Pam Mickel and moved to Alto, Texas. Larry loved the peaceful serenity of the country with Pam until her passing in 2022.
