A funeral will be held Tuesday January 27th, 2026 at 1pm at the First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches. Interment will follow the funeral at New Hope Cemetery in Alto. There is no visitation scheduled.

Kobe was born on September 23rd, 1998 to Tandya Smith in Jacksonville, Texas. Kobe passed away at his home on January 13th, 2026 in Houston, Texas. Kobe is an alumni of Texas A&M University, having obtained his bachelor's, and master’ s degree from the accredited university. Kobe was a financial advisor and accountant for Earnest and Young (EY) one of the Big 4 global professional services firms.

Kobe is preceded in death by his grandmother Polly Smith and cousin Kason Powell. Kobe leaves to cherish his memory his mom Tandya Smith, brothers Kesean Thacker and Kaeden Thacker, aunts Shaneia Smith and Ronesha Skinner, uncle Jeff Pope, and grandfather Eddie Moore.
