Joyce (Denney) Taylor

    Funeral services for Joyce DenneyTaylor, 84, of Rusk will be Saturday, November 22, at 11:30 AM in the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Chapel in Alto, Texas with Pastor Jack White officiating. There will be a visitation starting at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Rusk. Joyce passed away Monday, November 17 in Rusk. She was born March 4, 1941 in College Park, Georgia to H.U. Denney and  Leone Little Denney. Joyce had lived in Longview for many years and has lived in Rusk for 20 years. She was a member of the Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Rusk and enjoyed quilting, gardening and bowling. She loved painting and was very talented with many arts and crafts. Joyce was an avid sports enthusiast and watched football and basketball games all the time. Joyce was preceded in death by husband Roy F. Taylor and brothers Tyre and Willis Denney. Joyce was survived by son Mark S. Taylor and wife Nancy of Rusk and daughter Dawn Taylor Caskie and husband Allen, grandchildren Tosh Taylor Cuellar, Cara Joy Cuellar, Ross Benjamin Cuellar, Leah Taylor Davis, Cale Denney Cuellar and Cameron Taylor and 6 great grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to thank the staff at the Arbors Nursing Home and her hospice team for their love and care.
