Funeral services for Jimmy Bryant Williamson, 80, of Cushing will be 11 AM Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Dickie Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Jones officiating. Jimmy Bryant Williamson passed away June 11, 2021 in Cushing, Texas. He was born to Jiggs and Mavis Williamson on April 3, 1941 in Cushing, Texas. Jimmy Williamson served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. He worked in the health, safety and environmental field. He was known as a hardworking man with good 'ol East Texas country values that enjoyed helping his neighbors. His hobbies included but were not limited to hunting and fishing. Jimmy was a blacksmith and even worked in the rodeo circuit where he did bulldogging and trained cutting horses. He returned to Cushing to retire and live out his days. Some of his many accomplishment include being a loving father, grandfather and great grandfathers. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son James Williamson and wife Cara of Kingwood, Texas daughter Deanna Lynn Williamson, and sister Donna Jones of Seguin, Texas. He also leaves behind grandchildren Kristin Ashford and husband Charles, Michelle Day and husband Kevin, and Joshua Williamson; also four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Joshua Williamson, Charles Ashford, Kevin Day, Derek Jones, Steve Pittman and Thomas Allen.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
