A memorial service for Jerryl Gage, 64, will be Monday, September 17, 2018 at 11am at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home chapel in Alto, Texas. Mr. Gage lived in Alto and formerly in Wharton and Weches. Mr. Gage passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 14, 2018, in Tyler. He was born March 1, 1954, in Dallas to Maurice Thomas and Mary Sue Callahan Gage. He is preceded in death by his parents and nephews, Lance Willeford and Kenneth Jones.
Mr. Gage loved spending time with his family and especially with his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends. He also happily served as a volunteer firefighter in Wharton for many years. He was also a long-term member of Peace Tabernacle in Wharton, and in later years attended the Weches and Alto Pentecostal churches.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Bivin of Alto; daughters, Brenda Gage of Houston, Diana Gage and Cesar Benitez of Katy, son and daughter-in-law, Erik and Ashley Gage of College Station, and step-daughter, Rachelle Still of Billings; grandchildren, Sonny Thomas, Chloe and Zoe Gage, Anabelle, Weston, and Cooper Gage, and Preston Still; great-grandchild, Gabriel Still; siblings, Sherry and Joe Morris of Gladewater, Sherryl and Darrell LaPoma of Wharton, and Perry and Patty Gage of Flippin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
