Jennifer McManus Obituary

Visitation for Jennifer Lynne McManus, 52, of Nacogdoches will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 at Dickie Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services for Jennifer Lynne McManus will be at 10:00 AM Friday, September 3rd, 2021 at Dickie Allen Funeral Home. Jennifer Lynne McManus passed away Tuesday at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. Jennifer was born September 4, 1968 to Johnny Carlise Johnson and Melba Ann Weisner in Beaumont, Texas. She lived for over a decade in Anahuac, Texas before returning to Nacogdoches. Jennifer was a member with the Calvary Baptist Church in Raywood, Texas. She loved to sing in the choir and was a charter member of the "Shiloh Ministry". Jennifer was also a "healer" and could speak in tongues. She was known for many things such as: being a great cook, her flare for flower arrangements and decorating among all her great traits. Jennifer always had a smile for everyone and could make anyone feel part of the gang. She loved her family and absolutely adored her grandchildren because they were her passion. Jennifer will be remembered for capturing moments through her pictures. If something needed to be done she would only ask you once, then do it herself. She was a straight forward person, always the protector, firm yet loving. She will truly be missed by those that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephews Jaylin Brewer and Jonathan Alexander. She is survived by her husband David Allen McManus of Anahuac. Sons Samuel Luke Arredondo and Brandon Lee Arredondo of Pollok and daughter Ciara Lindsey Arredondo (Adrion Curtis) of Nacogdoches. Brothers Thomas Cates Harkey of Brazoria, and Jeffrey (wife Bonita) Bodle of Sealy. Sisters Jessica Bodle of Nacogdoches, Ava (husband Matthew) Sherman of Nacogdoches, Hazel Key of Nacogdoches, Ollie (husband Ricky) Spurr of Garrison, Holly (husband Clinton) Blackmon of Lake Dallas, Sara Ann Stripling of Nacogdoches, and sister-in-law Lois Harkey of Douglass. She also leaves behind granddaughters Sabella and Sophia; and, a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Spurr, Hunter Harkey, Jeffrey Harkey, Markus Robinson, Clinton Blackmon, Jewel Watkins, Matthew Sherman, and Adrion Curtis.

Honorary pallbearer will be Liborio Arredondo.
