Jarrod Ryan Black passed peacefully into eternal rest on July 4, 2023, in Austin, Texas. He was born in Woodville, Texas on January 10, 1984. Jarrod was an outgoing and precocious child. He loved life and learning and was always up for an adventure. He loved concerts, museums, and the latest technologies. Jarrod brought much love and laughter into our home and our lives. He will be sorely missed and will live on in our hearts forever.
Jarrod made a public profession of faith in Jesus Christ in 1993 and was baptized soon thereafter. He attended Katy ISD schools and graduated in 2002 from James E. Taylor High School and attended Texas Tech University. He worked in IT Support throughout his career.
Jarrod is survived by his mother, Karen Duncan, and stepfather, Michael James Duncan. His father, John Paul Black, and stepmother Kim Black as well as a large and loving family.
A funeral service will be held at O.T. Allen Funeral Home in Alto, Texas on Friday July 14th at 11AM. Interment will follow at Lynches Chapel Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled in the coming weeks in Katy, Texas.
