Janice Aileen (Plunkett) Oaksford

Janice Oaksford, born to Dick and Jeannette Plunkett of Maple Wisconsin on February 4th of 1952 was called to the Lord on Friday.  August 30, 2024.  Janice was a young 72 years old when a farming accident took her life.  She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard Oaksford of Logosarx Farm Nacogdoches County Texas, and their two sons Douglas and Owen Oaksford, her sisters Mary Frostman and Barbara Kolodziej, her brother Keith Plunkett and many nieces, nephews and a host of close friends. 

Janice and Richard met at the University of Washington where Janice was an OB nurse and he was a Fisheries student, They were married at the campus ministry chapel and launched themselves into new adventures.  Janice was fond of telling people that she delivered thousands of babies.  Rick, her husband, spent most of his career in tech, until their move to East Texas, ten years ago.  Janice was so happy here, with new friendships and the loving, spiritual environment she found herself to be. A part of.  She was so happy and full of the Helper's spirit at the time of her accident that she will surely meet with us at our Fathers house, through the grace of our king, the Lord Jesus.

 Her memorial service will be held on September 21st at 1:30 PM at Logosarx Farm.
