James Michael Pearce

A funeral Service will be held Monday December 15th, 2025 at 11am at The Church of Wells. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service also at the church. Interment will follow the funeral service at The Church of Wells Familly Cemetery.

James Michael Pearce, 73, of Wells, Texas passed away December 6th, 2025 in Wells, Texas. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on May 7th, 1952 to Richard Sidney and LaVerna Bergman Pearce. He grew up in Richfield, MN. and received a Masters in Public Health. He became a Diabetes Specialist midway through his career of 31 years while serving hospitals and clinics. He spent 2 years in the army at Ft. Jackson, SC and 12 years with the Navy Commission Corp stationed at Indian Reservations at Red Lake and White Earth in Minnesota. He also spent 11 years in India.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

He is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth Pearce; sons and daughters-in-law Graham and Amy Pearce, Evan and Jenelle Pearce, Loren Pearce and wife Brooke Wolff, William and Holly Pearce, and Philip Pearce; daughters Audrey Pearce, Claire Skarlupka, Colleen Pearce, and Ann Pearce; as well as one sister Connie Wright. Pallbearers will be Graham Pearce, Evan Pearce, William Pearce, Phillip Pearce, Jesse Alan Morris and Carson Pearce. Honorary pallbearer are Bryan Seefried and Elliot Pearce.

The service will be live streamed for those unable to come. A link for live streaming will be added Monday morning by 10 AM on this site. Also a luncheon will be served at the church after the services are completed.
