James D. Channel

Funeral Services for James Darrell Channel, 61, of Cushing, Texas will be Sunday December 15th, at 2pm at the Dickie Allen Chapel with Bro. Mike Williams and Bro. Ed Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Pirtle Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday December 14th from 6-8pm also at the funeral home. Mr. Channel died Wednesday December 11th in Cushing. He was born October 20th, 1958 in Nacogdoches, Texas to James E. and Frankie Gresham Channel. He was a lifetime resident of Cushing. He was associated with the Happy Valley Church, worked with his family in the pest control industry and raised cattle, hay, and farmed. He and his brother were both volunteers for upkeep at Pirtle Cemetery. He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents Lacy and Bessie Channel, and Curtis and Lois Gresham. He is survived by his brother and best friend Terry Channel; aunts Doris Gresham Bartlett, Maxine Gresham Baggett, and Ruth Gresham Rowe, uncle Gerald and wife Glenda Gresham; and numerous cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be Shane Crawford, Marty Lawson, Kevin Duckett, Todd Vaught, Danny Paul Ham, Steve Ivy. Honorary pallbearers will be Chicken Penny, Mike Nichols, George Self, and Pat Ferraro
