Higinio "Eugene" Carrera

   A memorial service for Higinio “Eugene” Carrera, 74, of Alto will be held Saturday, June 7, at 1 PM in the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Chapel in Alto.  Mr. Carrera passed away Tuesday, May 27 in Rusk, Texas. He was born January 11, 1951 in Lagunillas, Mexico to Eldio Medina Carrera and Catalina Carrera. Higinio had lived in Alto for 43 years and was Protestant. He had worked at a sawmill. Higinio loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing and yardwork. He loved animals, especially cats and dogs. Mr. Carrera was survived by wife Patsy Dean Carrera of Alto, brothers Jose Medina and Felix Medina of Alto, 1 sister and several nieces and nephews.
