Glenda Dean (Latham) McCommas-Grimes

Glenda Dean (Latham) McCommas-Grimes, 85, passed away at her residence in Rusk, Texas, on Friday, January 16, 2026, with her family by her side.

Glenda was born in Lilbert, Texas on July 7, 1940, to Avery R. Latham and Bonnie Mae Vanover. 

She worked as a nurse, as well as owning and operating several businesses.  She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting & shelling peas.   Most of all she loved her family.

Family time meant everything to her. 

Glenda is preceded in death by her father, Avery Latham; mother and stepfather, Robert and Bonnie Channel; son, Marty Revels; brothers, Leroy Latham, Charles Latham; sister, Jane Underwood.

She is survived by her husband Geral Grimes; grandson and family, Marcus and Stormy, Amara, Mason; sister, Twylia Brashears; brothers, Dennis and Patricia Channel, Rayford and Pam Channel; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. 

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 2:00 P.M., at Redland Cemetery, in Lilbert, Texas, with Brother George Marshall Officiating. Glenda is under the care of Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing, Texas.
