Eva Jo Tipps

Eva Jo Tipps, 81, of Rusk Tx., passed away on May 16, 2024 in Tyler, Tx.

Visitation will be 5pm - 7pm Friday May 24, 2024 at Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing, Tx.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday May 25, 2024 at Dickie Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing, Tx. with the Reverend Franklin Wade of Mount Haven CME Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Tipps Cemetery. Arrangements are by Dickie Allen Funeral Home.

Eva Jo Tipps was born in Cushing, Tx. to Justus and Lucy Tipps on February 13, 1943.  She went to school at Laneville, Tx. She worked at Rusk State Hospital for several years until she retired.  She was a member of Valley Grove CME Church.

She is preceded in death by parents; Justus and Lucy Tipps, son; Larry Tipps, granddaughter; Crystal Christopher, great-grandsons; Dylan and Kentrell Jenkins, niece; Charles Ann Morgan, nephew; Leonard Lee Dickson, and special cousin Dorothy Mae Hogg. 

She is survived by Grandchildren: Kendra (Tipps) Clark, Jason Tipps, Katrina Christopher, Ta' Roderick (LaChevia) Brooks, Broderick Brooks, great-Grandchildren: Octavian Arrington, niece: Shelis Dickson, nephews: Joe Davis, Charles Ray Dickson, God daughter: Jessie (D.B.) Hackett.
