Graveside services for Erma Lee Lindsey, 96, of Alto will be Wednesday, January 20, at 2:30 PM at the old Palestine Cemetery in Alto. There will be a visitation time from 1:30 until 2:30 also at the graveside. Erma Lee passed away Sunday, January 17, in Wells. She was born in the Lynches Chapel community June 22, 1924 to Roy Arthur Brooks and Irma Dear Brooks. Erma Lee lived most of her life in the Lindseyville community near Alto and was a Beautician. She was a great cook and homemaker and worked at the Lindsey Grocery Store. She was preceded in death by husband Doyle A. Lindsey and great granddaughter Hannah Olivia Collie. Erma Lee is survived by sons Billy Doyle Lindsey and Marion Dwain Lindsey (Laura) of Alto, daughter Sara Lee McCarty (Steve) of Alto, grandchildren Keith Lindsey, Anita Albert, Sabra Weis, Ty McCarty, Andy Lindsey, Brady Lindsey, Nathan Lindsey and Jason Collie, great grandchildren Stephen, Matt, Ryan, Lindsey, Timber, Branton, Forest, Angelina, Billy, Bethani, Chandler, Mason, Cade, Lexi, Hilary, Morgan, Jenna, Cooper, Knox and Cason as well as great great grandchildren Holden & Harper. The funeral home will be open until 5 PM Tuesday for flower deliveries.
