Graveside services for Elzada Gill, 97, of Nacogdoches will be Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Splendor City Cemetery in Splendora, Texas. Elzada Gill passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Nacogdoches. She was born September 4, 1923 to Harvey and Evalee Hancock in Paragould, Arkansas. A devoted wife and loving mother, she was best known for her cooking and quick smile. No matter the situation, she did not complain and brought a calmness and peace to wherever she was. She will truly be missed especially her family and those who knew her best. She was preceded in death by her husband D.T. Gill, her parents, a son , Richard "Bookie" Gill, daughter Shirley Sustaita; brothers Arthur "Ott" Hancock and Louis Hancock; sisters Helen Clester and Elfreida Hancock. She is survived by her sons, Harvey (Carroll) Gill of Nacogdochces, Tommy (Sherry) Gill of Porter, and daughter Sue Baby (Max) Greer of Nacogdoches; and brother Wayne (Betty) Hancock of Houston; 19 granchildren, 39 great grandchildren; and 59 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Serving a pallbearers will be her grandsons; Earl Gill, Tommy Gill, Rick Gill, Robby Gill, Randy Sustaita, Keith Gill, and Trace Greer. Keena Smith officiate the services.
