Elline Downs

Funeral services for Elline Downs, 79, of Cushing, Texas will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing with Bro. Ed Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 pm just prior to the funeral service. Elline Downs passed away January 29, 2022 in Tyler, Texas. She was born September 13, 1942 to R.D. McKnight and Willie King in Cushing, Texas. Elline grew up and spent her life in Cushing, Texas where she married Jerry Dan Downs. She was known by her family as a great cook. Elline was an old-fashioned woman and was the "glue" of the family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Leon McKnight, R.L. McKnight, sisters Era Rowlett, and Doris Becker, granddaughter Amber Downs and grandson Rual McBride. She is survived by sons Carl and wife Debbie Downs of Reklaw, Texas, Tony and wife Terry Downs of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Terry Downs of Cushing, Texas, and daughter Tammy and husband Toadie of Trawick, Texas; brothers in law Mike Downs and Fred  and wife Marsha Downs, and grandchildren Amanda Downs, Heaven Downs, River Downs, David McBride, Tony Downs, Jr., Waylon Downs, Michael Downs, Blaze Downs, Joseph Downs, Cole Blanton, Colton Duckett, Tate Duckett, and Klint Killion; and great grandchildren Alaina Hayes, Kayle Downs, Logan Downs and Alavia Downs.

Pallbearers are Justin Cole, Craig Williamson, Jessie Williamson, Chris Ham, James Ham, and Steve Ivy.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Jimmy Beckham.
