David D. Bone

David D. Bone, 75, of Cushing, Texas was born October 18, 1942 passed away on December 5, 2017 at The Holiday Nursing Facility in Center, Texas. David served in Vietnam War as Third Class Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Moore Business Forms after 31 years. David was an avid gun collector who enjoyed shooting sports, hunting, and fishing. He always looked forward to visiting with friends and shooting at the annual Squirrel-Athon in Lufkin, Texas. Mudding at Shiloh Ridge on his 6x6 Ranger with family was one of his favorite activities. David was most proud to be a grandpa and loved his grandchildren. He is survived by Frances his wife of 31 years. Children Daughter Kassie Hogan and husband Jeff of Centerville, Texas. Son Oscar “Pat” Kelly III of Cushing, Texas. Grandchildren Kelly Hogan Weiler and husband Justin of Marquez, Texas, Samantha Hogan Bailey and husband Brad Bailey of Centerville, Texas, David Paul Kelly of Cushing, Texas, Chasity Lynn Kelly of Cushing, Texas, James Lee Kelly Jr. of Nacogdoches, Texas, Oscar “Pat” Kelly IV and wife Kaitlyn of Cushing, Texas, Larissa Kelly of Cushing, Texas. Four Great-Grandsons and two Great-Granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents Lelon and Helen Bone of Nacogdoches, Texas, Son James Lee Kelly, Sr. of Cushing, Texas, Uncle Arborlee Bone of Livingston, Texas, Aunt Joanne McCann of Corsicana, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday, December 7 from 6:00-8:00pm at Dickie Allen Funeral Home 989 Seventh St. Cushing, Texas 75760. Funeral service will be there Friday, December 8 at 2:00pm followed by burial at Douglas Cemetery Douglas, Texas.
