Graveside services for Dale Leon Madison, 92, of Lilbert, will be 10 AM Monday, October 18, 2021 at Redland Cemetery in Douglass with Pastor Gene Tatum officiating. Dale Madison passed away Wednesday, October 13, at his home in Cushing with family by his side. Dale Leon Madison was born August 15, 1929 to Fred Madison and Alemada (Noble) Madison in Hershey, Nebraska. He moved to Texas in 1987 and became a Cushing resident in 1995. Dale enlisted into the United States Army on October 16, 1946 where he served with honor until his discharge May 19, 1949. He achieved the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the VFW in Lufkin and enjoyed many outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, camping, and archery. Dale was a member of the "42 Club" in Cushing and enjoyed bingo. He loved playing bluegrass music on his guitar. Dale was known to have a kind and gentle soul with a "big heart." He was a people person and was referred to as "happy-go-lucky." He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary (Rocka), brothers Noah Madison, Cliff Madison, sisters Mary Frese and Augusta Miller. He is survived by his daughter Sue Adamcryk of Cushing, grandson Charles (and wife Allison) Adamcryk of Center, sister Leona Perry of Olathe, CO, and great grandchildren Korbyn and *Emersyn; and several nieces and nephews.
