At the time of their marriage, Gary was assigned to the U.S. Army Infantry School, Fort Benning GA., where they moved to after their wedding. In the first few months of their marriage, they relocated to Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 22, 1968, Charlotte’s 22ND birthday. Austin State University and later completed her bachelor’s degree in education. Throughout their marriage, the Lord led Charlotte and Gary and their growing family to various other places, Cuero, Texas, Myersville, Texas, Farmington, New Mexico, Roswell, New Mexico, and the island of Guam. They finally settled in Gary’s family home in Cushing, Texas. Charlotte started her teaching career in Garrison, Texas, where she taught High School Special Education. Charlotte retired from teaching at Cushing Independent School District on May 31, 2008, with 23 years of teaching service. Charlotte was a true Educator, she believed in and encouraged her students to further their education, especially in Technical Fields. Found on her phone’s photos collection, a small card that stated, “Any student who has ever been in my class will always be one of my kids” “author unknown”! A statement she believed and lived by. After retiring from Education, she worked in the family Brokerage firm, GRI Land Services. She was devoted first to the serving of her Lord Jesus Christ and then her family.
