Graveside services for Charles F. Skinner, 67, of Alto will be held at the St. Thomas Chapel Cemetery in Alto, Texas Saturday, May 23 at 4 PM. There will be a pass by for any friends that want to see Mr. Skinner, from 3:15 until 3:50 at the cemetery. Mr. Skinner passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2020 in Lufkin. He was born September 4, 1952 in the Weeping Mary Community near Alto to G.W. Skinner and Ardie Pope Skinner. Mr. Skinner lived in Alto for most of his life and had recently lived in Lufkin. He had attended Weeping Mary Baptist Church at an early age and was a U.S. Marine from 1975 until 1978. Mr. Skinner had worked at the Grey Tool Company in Houston as a heavy equipment mechanic and was also a welder and carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather B.J. Thacker, who raised him, and brother G.L. Skinner. He leaves to cherish his memory daughters Jalane Richards (Darrick) of Alto, Steffaine Davis (Zachery) of Lufkin and Lolitha Robins (Curtis) of Lufkin, son Draper Skinner of Nacogdoches, sisters and brothers-in-law Laura Holmes, Margie Skinner, Carolyn Fraizer, Brenda Griffin (Tommy), Gloria Skinner and Crystal Skinner, brothers and sister-in-law George Skinner (Della), Salra “Pig” Thacker and Elmo Thacker and sister-in-law Rosie Skinner, grandchildren Steven Warren, Chris Warren, D’Anthony Richards, Shyundria Adams, Shania Beard, Shatamrah Blakemore, Clayton Terry, Adraianah Pate, Ke’Airra Skinner, Jordan Skinner, Mia Skinner, Ariana Skinner, Kolson Skinner, Jerrion Skinner, Shalayah Robins and Ciairra Skinner, great grandchildren Aaren Davis, Khloee Warren, Kayleigh Davis, Karson Warren, Reagan Warren and Kamden Warren as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.
