Charles Ennis Morris, 75, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Graveside Services for Charles will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM, at McKnight Cemetery in Cushing, Texas, with Brother Robert Easterling Officiating. Charles is under the care of Dickie-Allen Funeral Home in Cushing.
Charles Ennis Morris was born in Atoy, Texas (Cherokee County) to Ennis Morris and Sybil Elizabeth Norton, on September 27, 1949.
Charles was married to Pamela “Elise” Walding on January 6, 1996, in Atoy, Texas. After leaving Atoy, Texas in 1996, he and Elise moved to Nacogdoches, Texas where they settled and would now call home.
Charles worked construction and then worked at Nacogdoches Sheet Metal for several years prior to his 10-year employment at J.M. Clipper in Nacogdoches as a rubber press mold man.
Charles and Elise were active members of the Mahl Baptist Church in Nacogdoches, TX.
Charles loved the outdoors and especially liked hunting and fishing. When he wasn’t enjoying the outdoors he would spend time at the bowling alley, doing what he enjoyed indoors, bowling.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Ennis & Sybil Morris; 2 sisters, Audrey Crawford and Kathy McKnight; niece, Holly Bates; and brother-in-law, Doil McKnight.
Charles is survived by his wife, Elise Morris (Walding), 1 brother, Dennis Morris and wife Yvonne, niece, Beverly McKnight, great-niece Kaitlyn Kendall and great nephew, Kory Turner as well as several close friends.
