Charles Edward Birdwell

Funeral services for Charles Edward Birdwell, 93, of Humble, will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Dickie Allen Funeral home in Cushing. Charles Birdwell, 93, passed away Sunday December 20, 2020 in Kingwood, Texas. He was born March 3, 1927 in Cushing, Texas to Hurshell and Lillie Mae Birdwell. He worked for many years as an equipment supervisor for Brown and Root. He was an avid lover of nature. On a sunny day he could be found gardening, riding his tractor, farming or fishing. He was a devoted husband, father, uncle and grandparent. His presence will be missed in the community and especially among friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jean Birdwell, his parents, and his son, Charles Birdwell, Jr.; brothers Kenneth Birdwell, Bobby Birdwell, and James Birdwell, and sister Helene Shingle. Charles Birdwell is survived by his daughters Mary Holter and Sharon McCorkle both of Humble, and Angela Birdwell-Hollaway and husband Kevin of Baytown; sisters, Judy and husband Gary Finklea and Peggy Moore of Cushing. and, a multitude of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The pallbearers will be Brandon Whitehead, Chuck Whitehead, Dalton Robertson, Leslie, Kennon and Dillon Birdwell.
