Cathy Marie (Lyons) Nye

Memorial services for Cathy Marie Nye, 71, of Mt. Enterprise will be Saturday November 16th, 2019 at 3pm at the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in Mt. Enterprise. Mrs. Nye passed away Sunday, November 3, in Longview. She was born in Bell Flower, California, July 29, 1948 to Herbert Hamilton Lyons and Elsie Mae Ryerson Lyons. She had lived in Liberty City, Texas and Mt. Enterprise for the last 20 years. Cathy was a member of the Sulphur Springs Missionary Baptist Church and had worked as a bank teller and also had owned a feed store. She is survived by husband John Paul Nye of Mt. Enterprise, sons John Lee Brinkley of Fullerton, California and John Paul Nye II of Kentucky, daughters Carmen McDonnell of Jefferson and Melissa Vandergriff of Tyler, sister Peggy Laughlin of Kansas City, Kansas as well as 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
