Carroll F. Pennell, 79, of Cushing, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches, Texas. Carroll is under the care of Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing, Texas. A Memorial Service for Carroll will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at New Faith Church in Sacul, Texas, with Pastor Mike Williams & Pastor Brady Willis Officiating.
Carroll Pennell was born the youngest of 11 children, in Brunswick, Maine, on August 22, 1944, to John Bliss Pennell and Lavina Alexander Pennell.
Carroll grew up in Great Island in Harpswell, Maine, where he attended school. After school Carroll met a lovely young lady named Glenna Cloutier and married her, on November 3, 1967. He and Glenna had a lifelong preaching and music ministry across New England and Canada. In later years Carroll lost his singing ability due to illness but now he has his full voice and is singing praises to God.
Carroll is preceded in death by his parents, and all his siblings except for one sister.
Carroll is survived by his Wife of 57 years, Glenna Pennell of Cushing, Texas, one sister, Abbie Parker of Lisbon, Maine, and numerous nieces, and nephews. Also, Blake McMullin, wife Emily, and their three children, of Nacogdoches, who were like family and held a special place in his heart. Also, a dear friend, Perry Levitt of Brunswick, Maine, and several other close friends.
