Buzz McLain

Buzz McLain, 74, of Sacul, Texas, passed away on January 8, 2024 in Tyler, Texas. He suffered a stroke at his home on Christmas Day and was cared for by the doctors and nurses at UT Health Tyler, but ultimately he was unable to recover.

Services will be held at Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing, Texas at 2:00 PM on Saturday January 20th, with Pastor Jim Rawlins Officiating.

Buzz was born in Oakcliff, Texas to Annie and Boots McLain (or Mac and Papa as they were known), on January 27, 1949. He lived most of his life here in a small town in East Texas. He was most passionate about the people he loved, his faith, and fishing. 

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Buford and Annie McLain.

Buzz is survived by his son, Aaron McLain, his brothers, David and Ted McLain, his grandson, Malcolm McLain, his beloved cat, Phoebe, and many close friends
