Bill Lindsey Obituary

Funeral services for Bill Lindsey, 61, of Alto will be Friday, May 28, at 2 PM, at the Hilltop Baptist Church with Rev. Dusty Lee officiating. Burial will be at Old Palestine Cemetery. Bill passed away Monday, May 24, in Jacksonville. He was born December 10, 1959 in Pasadena, Texas to James “Colonel Jim” Lindsey and Patricia Price Lindsey. Bill had lived most of his life in Alto and was a longtime member of the Hilltop Baptist Church. He had worked for 41 years as a Millwright and was a master builder who loved to work with wood and create metal art. Bill was an avid arrowhead hunter and collector and loved the outdoors. He loved God and loved his family. Bill was preceded in death by his father Colonel Jim Lindsey. He is survived by wife of 41 years Brenda Lindsey of Alto, mother Pat Lindsey of Alto, daughter and son-in-law Ashley and Joshua Currie of Kennard, son and daughter-in-law Jared and Amisha Lindsey of Houston, brother Jim Bob Lindsey of Slocum, “honorary son” Clint Pierce of Alto and grandchildren Cort Currie, Corlyn Currie and AdLee Lindsey. Pallbearers are Jared Lindsey, Clint Pierce, Jason Pierce, Josh Lindsey, Justin Lindsey and Joshua Currie. Visitation will be Thursday at the O.T. Allen & Son funeral home in Alto from 6-8 PM.
