Graveside funeral services for Archie L. Mack, 84, of Alto will be held Sunday, October 4, at 2 PM at the Elwood Cemetery near Midway, Texas with Rev. John Black officiating. A visitation will be held Saturday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Alto. Archie passed away Tuesday, September 29, at his home in Alto, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, September 12, 1936 to Kermit and Ella Sibley Mack. Archie was Pentecostal and loved fishing. He had worked as a Drywall contractor for many years, up until his health prevented him from working. Archie was preceded in death by his parents, son Larry Mack, brothers Roger L., Sidney L. and Fred L. Mack, and sister Dora Lee Mack. Archie is survived by wife of 47 years Freddie Mack of Alto, sister Claudia Bailey of Teneha, brother Ted Mack of Teneha, step-sons Mark Cannon (Tara) of Baytown, Randy Cannon (Christina) of Channelview, Vic Cannon (Denise) of Alto, grandchildren Brittany Welch (Brad) and Casey Cannon and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
