Alto – Graveside funeral services for Zane Gholston, 68, of Alto will be Saturday, December 23rd, at 11am at the Lynches Chapel Cemetery with Rev. officiating. No visitation is scheduled. Mr. Gholston died Friday in Alto. He was born February 18, 1949, in Houston, Texas to Zack Gholston and Verlene Schochler Gholston. He lived in Alto for many years and had worked as a carpenter. Zane loved hunting and fishing and had attended Campground Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Gholston. Zane is survived by sons Shane Gholston of Alto and Brandon Gholston of Alto, daughter Jill Merchant (John) of Rusk, sister Vonda Collins of Alto, grandchildren Jacob Gholston, Colby Gholson, Lane Gholston, Brant Gholston, Loren Gholston, Hanna Gholston, Hilary Lindsey, Morgan Hollis & Jenna Lindsey and great grandchild Abbie Gholston. Pallbearers will be Roger Taylor, Steve Selman, Ricky Selman, Tommy "Diller" Selman, Ken Collins, Clint Pierce, Bart Wiley & Tim Hollis.
