Cushing- Funeral services for Willie B. Kinney, 84, of Cushing,Texas will be Saturday July 29th at 10am at the Dickie Allen funeral home chapel. Visitation will be Friday July 28th, from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at McKnight Cemetery. Mr. Kinney died Wednesday in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born October 23rd, 1932 in Cushing, Texas to William Thomas and Minnie Viola Smelley Kinney. One of the many things he enjoyed was working with his cows with his loyal cattle dogs by his side. Also, he took pleasure in hunting with his son and grandsons. Sharing his garden with family and friends was also something he looked forward to every Spring. Mr. Kinney had the distinction of being on the first football team for Cushing High School. He was honored to have served his country in the United States Army as military policeman. He worked at Armco Steel in Houston, Texas for 29 years before retiring to his home in Cushing, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Kinney, of Cushing, Texas; son and daughter-in-law Gary and Vonda Kinney of El Lago, Texas; daughter and son-in-law Sharon and John Lewis of Pasadena, Texas; grandchildren Garrett Lewis, Daniel Lewis, and Nathan Lewis; great grandchild Levi Lewis.
