Henderson- Funeral services for Willie Carroll Armstrong, 81, of Nacogdoches and formerly of Tyler and Kilgore will be Friday, January 19, at 1 PM, at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing with Rev. Randy Sparks and Rev. Vickie Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at the Stewart Cemetery near Henderson. The visitation will be Friday at 12 noon until service time. Mr. Armstrong died Tuesday, January 16, in Nacogdoches. He was born October 7, 1936 in the Stewart Community to Claude Edward and Rosie Lillie Freeman Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong lived in Tyler and Kilgore for most of his life and had been a member of the Green Acres Baptist Church. He worked for many years at C. Woods air conditioning and plumbing and had owned the business for 2 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and by sisters Mary Lee Morse and Elsie Marie Fischer and brothers Aubrey Edward Armstrong and Authur Thurman Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong is survived by brothers J.B. Armstrong, Del Roy Armstrong, Murrell David Armstrong and Glassell Lowell Armstrong as well as 1 step son and 1 step daughter.
