Willard Lawson O.T. Allen & Son F.H. - Alto, Tx Alto - Funeral services for Willard Lawson, 80, of Alto will be Thursday December 22nd, at 10 am at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Chapel with Bro. Paul Gates officiating. Mr. Lawson died Tuesday in Rusk. He was born April 27, 1936 in North Zulch, Texas to Fred and Laura King Lawson. Mr. Lawson lived most of his life in Alto and owned and operated Lawson''s Texaco station for about 50 years. He was a member of the First Apostalic Church in Dialville. Willard was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Hubert Johnson and Demmie Johnson and sister Jo Moore. Willard is survived by his wife Nelda Lawson of Alto, daughters and son-in-law Melinda Gates (Paul) of Rusk and Teresa Gardiner of Alto, sisters Mary Logan of Alto and Lois Henley of Cleveland, grandchildren Mickey Gates (Jessica), Susan Munsinger (Anthony), Sonya Alexander (David) and Willard Creel as well as 11 great grandchildren. Pallbearers are J.C. Dover, James Mason, E.C. Daniels, Bobby Stephenson, Olan Black and Kenneth Gates. Honorary pallbearers are Casey Gates, Steve Logan, Tony Goodman and Kerry Birdwell. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM.
