Virginia Nell Moore Low Alto- Funeral Service for Virginia Nell Moore Low, 79, of Alto will be at 10 AM, Wednesday, January 4th in the A. Frank Smith United Methodist Church with Rev. Ryan Stratton and Rev. Amanda Stratton officiating. Burial will be held in the Low Family Cemetery under the direction of O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Directors. Mrs. Low passed away Monday, January 2nd in Jacksonville. She was born February 25, 1937 in San Saba, Texas to William Moore and Elfreda Behrens Moore . She was married to her husband James Richard "Dick" Low for 57 years. She lived most of her life in Alto and was a member of the A. Frank Smith United Methodist Church. She worked with her husband as home parents for 14 years at the Methodist Boys Ranch Childrens Home. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing in the church choir and serve the church in many other ways. Joshua 24:15- "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord." She is preceded in death by her husband Dick Low, her great grandson James Cooper Low, her sister Peggy Higginbotham. Survivors Include: Sons & Daughters-in-law: Mike & Patti Low- Alto, Texas Randy & Paula Low- Alto, Texas Gregg & Patty Low- Spring, Texas Daughter: Sharon Foster - Hutto, Texas Grandchildren: Misty & Jeff Duplichain, Heath & Lisa Low, Aaron & Amanda Low, Amber & DJ Middleton, Lance Low, Jessica Low & Alana Low Great Grandchildren: Todd, Halle, Jenna, Blair, Brooke, Brianna, Makenzie, Macee, Eli and Alice Special Friend: Martha Priest Pallbearers: Jeff Duplichain, Heath Low, Aaron Low, Lance Low, DJ Middleton & Todd Duplichain Honorary Pallbearers: Summers Hassell, Larry Davis, Roddy Maddox, Robert Broyles & Jack White. The family asks that memorial be made to the church of your choice. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 3rd, from 6-8 PM at the funeral Home in Alto.
