Vincent Lowell Wood, 78, of Nacogdoches Tx, passed away on April 12,2024 in Nacogdoches TX.  Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday April 19,2024 at O.T. Allen Funeral Home at 649 San Antonio Rd Alto Tx.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday April 20,2024 at Arnold Cemetery 3.5 miles northwest of Forest Tx on FM 1911 with Father George of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. A reception will follow at 1815 S. Fredonia St in Nacogdoches for all who wish to attend. Vincent Lowell Wood was born in Woodland California to Cyress Vincent Wood and Margaret Johnson Wood on November 22, 1945. He went to school in Twin Bridges MT and served in the Army from 1963 to 1966. He married Linda Sharber Wood on December 27,1965 in Alto Tx. He worked as a carpenter most of his life.  Vincent is preceded in death by his father Cyruss V Wood, mother Margaret Armitage, stepfather Jim Armitage & sister Brenda Armitage, wife Hazel Wood, & wife Lucy Wood. Vincent is survived by his first love & mother of his children Linda Sharber Castillo, his four children Maria Dunser of Columbus MS, Michael Wood of Nacogdoches TX, James Wood of Nacogdoches TX, Marty Wood of Lufkin TX, brother Richard Armitage of Hamilton MT, sisters Betty Basolo of Missoula MT, Linda Kylonen of Spirit Lake ID, & Barbara Maddox of Colville WA, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Blaine Wood, Riley Wood, Peyton Wood, Zachary Hill, Steven Johnson, & Keithan Keggler. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ted Balch and Tim Balch.
